Individualized Speech Therapy   For Diverse Needs in English or Czech

We help children who struggle to develop normal communication. We use a variety of evidence based strategies to help develop the child's speech and language. Speech therapy should begin as soon as possible to maximize the child's ability to meet developmental milestones.

Pediatric Speech Therapy

Children as young as two years old to adolescents may benefit from pediatric speech therapy. We can help toddlers, who are hard to engage and reluctant to imitate words. Some toddlers are delayed in the use of non-verbal gestures and therefore cannot communicate successfully with caregivers. Some children may have difficulties with producing fluent or intelligible speech. Other children may have difficulties with sharing their ideas, processing language and using language in their social interaction. Pediatric speech therapy can address a wide range of speech and language disorders using evidence - based strategies.

Bilingual Speech Therapy

It is not always easy for parents of bilingual children to tell if their child is behind in speech and language development. The rate at which children learn languages varies from child to child. The amount of exposure to languages or their organization can also play a role. If your child is experiencing difficulty responding to questions, following directions, learning new words, forming sentences or acquiring literacy in any of their languages, they may have a language disorder not caused by bilingual environment.

Therapy for Schools

We offer evaluation and ongoing therapy services for schools and kindergartens. We can provide in-person and/or teletherapy services for students in need of English-Czech special education services. Ms. Alena Netolická has a formal training from the University of Toronto to diagnose speech language difference versus disorder and to support multilingual children with speech and language disorders in educational settings.
